The IBD Clinic provides world-class diagnosis and long-term treatment care for around 5,100 patients with Crohn's disease, Ulcerative colitis, and Indeterminate colitis.
IBD Clinic is part of the parent organization - IBD Unit which encompasses academic and educational facilities bridging together research, education, and practice.
In our IBD Clinic, each patient has an IBD Care Team consisting of the IBD specialist and IBD nurse. The IBD Care Team also works with gastrointestinal surgeons, dietitians, and other healthcare specialists to ensure that each patient has a comprehensive and well-coordinated diagnostic and treatment plan.
We also inform the patient’s referring physician to achieve excellence in the continuity of care.

Pediatric IBD patients Transition. Specifically designed program to help our teenage IBD patients successfully move from pediatric to adult IBD care
Preconception and Pregnancy in IBD. Specifically designed program to provide care to couples with IBD who are interested in family planning and conception and follow the IBD patient to delivery and early motherhood
Located in Edmonton, the IBD Clinic provides service to IBD patients in the Edmonton region, Northern Alberta and coordinate with health care practitioners located in Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, and Peace River. This expansive network ensures that patients receive excellent IBD care and treatment while minimizing travel burden to Edmonton.
The IBD Clinic can also assess patients from outside of Alberta. Currently, we see individuals from North-Western Saskatchewan, Eastern British Columbia, and the Northern Territories.
