Steroids

WHEN SHOULD I SEEK MEDICAL HELP?

People taking steroids can on rare occasions require urgent medical attention. You should contact your doctor:

  • If you experience mental health problems, feel depressed, high, or your moods go up and down. Contact your doctor or go to the Emergency if you feel confused, irritable, anxious, have suicidal thoughts or difficulties sleeping

  • If you have vomiting and you are unable to take your tablets, or have diarrhea, or have missed a dose

  • If you experience an allergic reaction including a rash, itching, difficulty breathing or swelling of the face, lips, throat or tongue

  • If you develop pain in the hip or groin
